The date for the Public Health Committee Hearing is March 15th at 10:30am

We need as many vapers as possible to attend this hearing. If you don't want to speak that is fine. Just you attending sends a message.

I am most certainly going to do my best to attend that meeting. And if I attend the meeting I will damned sure be willing to stand up and testify. This really chaps me that public health officials say they want people to stop smoking and yet they pull this kind of shenanigans.

Was wondering for the benefit of those in CT or nearby if anyone has an address (for GPS purposes) and any parking tips?

(3/06/2013): The Joint Committee on Public Health will hold a
public hearing on Friday, March 15th at 10:30 a.m. at Room
3000 in the Legislative Office Building in
Hartford. CASAA Director Karen
Carey, as well as several other vapers, are planning on attending.
Those attending should arrive by 9:15 a.m. Please e-mail us at [email protected] if you think you can attend.

The address I can find is 300 Capitol Avenue in Hartford and the parking garage is 210 capitol avenue. I have seen these addresses in several places but have yet to visit this area myself.

If you want to speak at the hearing you must arrive at 9:00am to sign up. Speakers will only be allowed 3 minutes to speak.
The Public Health Committee will hold a public hearing on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. in Room 1D of the LOB. The Committee is accepting electronic testimony via email at [email protected] Please submit electronic testimony no later than 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 14, 2013. If you are unable to submit electronic testimony, please submit 10 copies of written testimony no later than 8:30 A.M. on Friday, March 15, 2013 in Room 3000 of the LOB. Please submit separate testimony for each bill. Testimony submitted after the deadline will not be available until after the hearing. Sign-up for the hearing will begin at 9:00 A.M. in First Floor Atrium of the LOB. The first hour of the hearing is reserved for Legislators, Constitutional Officers, State Agency Heads and Chief Elected Municipal Officials. Speakers will be limited to three minutes of testimony. Bills will be heard in the order listed in the Bulletin. Unofficial sign-up sheets have no standing with the Committee.
