I’ve recently acquired a couple of “bits” and though this might make an informative article to talk about them.

I’m a BIG fan of the Bulli A2 – not the tank version, the version that uses 701 carts – in case you don’t know the Bulli looks like this (attached to my Precise Plus 18350):

Here’s a close of the cartridge:

These cartridges (design for the DSE701 e-cigar) are excellent – they hold as much as many tanks and wick superbly.  As a consequence I hadn’t ever made much effort towards dripping with the Bulli.  Until:

The 701 mouth piece to 510/901 drip tip adapter from Vapor Age

This is a properly threaded insert which screw into the Bulli and provide the right size hole to insert a 510/901 drip tip:

It looks a treat on the A2:

and here it is with a Super T Drip-Tip fitted:

Looks great and the Bulli takes dripping very well indeed.  However, the Bulli gives a tighter draw with the &01 cartridge than is does with a drip-tip, so it seems and ideal opportunity to try out:

The Flow Tip from Siam Mods

These tips, designed to allow you to control the airflow through the tip, and aimed at repairable atomisers, were recently announced by Graeme at Siam Mods along with some very smart and unusual stainless steel drip tips (I bought the Ripple and Slotted versions and am well pleased with those too).

The Flow tip looks like this:

Here are the ends of it:

As you can see, it’s NOT designed for dripping – but the Vapor Age adapter provides a lovely big hole for dripping, and pulling the Flow Tip out to drip is scarcely a faff…

The Flow Tip unscrews in the middle, progressively tightening the draw as you do it:

NOTE – if you unscrew it THAT far there will be no draw at all – the tip will be sealed…

The insides of the Flow Tip look like this:

You can see one of the two small air holes and the two small o-rings – as you unscrew the tip the part with these  moves down from the mouth end and tightens the draw…

Here’s the Flow tip on the Bulli with the Vapor Age adapter:

The Flow Tips works as advertised – as you unscrew it the draw gets tighter and tight and then stops.  For me the Flow Tip and “fully open” (ie screwed right down in the position shown) provides a draw which matches the 701 carts – so I’m well pleased…

Cigtech for USA folks, sell the “flowtip” as “AFC tip”, just letting folks know so that USA residents can save on shipping!

    Indeed they do! Thanks!

I see they also have the full range of Siam Mods new stainless drip-tips too – I didn’t know Graeme had done a deal with a US supplier!

guess Siam Mods has another USA supplier as well, Clouds of Vapor also carries it as well :)
